Welcome
Ah, I see you've stumbled across this site we made. It is based off of the series Blue Bloods by Mellissa de la Cruz! She is coming out with a book called The Van Alen Legacy soon, but since that is all the way in October/November, I figured I would see how I wanted the story to come out. I got the idea from my friend Rainy who is doing the same thing except with the Vampire Academy series. If you have never read the Blue Bloods series, don't worry, there is a thread here somewhere that might explain everything. If you still have questions, you can talk to the staff. So far we have two staff members. The Head Admin and founder of the site, is me, Kat. The Co-Admin and the person with the idea for the site, is my good friend Meggie. Feel free to PM us with questions. Oh, and don't PM either of us if you want to be a staff member. We will be picking them as the site gets active. I hope you join!

The Weather Forecast

21°C to 35°C

It's summer time. The sun's hot so if you want to go on a walk or a hike, I advice you do it in the morning before it gets really hot. It cools down a bit at night, but it's definetly not cold. It's perfect beach weather so have fun! Get your tans and enjoy it while summer vacation is here.

New York
[ ]Duchesne
This is the prestigious New York City private school. The school has all the grades from 1st to 12th so pretty much everyone knows everyone, except the newbies of course. The Blue Bloods are the popular kids here, not that Red Bloods know this. The Duchesne School is an odd mix of luxury and penury- a state-of-the-art theater in the basement, complete with auditorium seating for 200, but no locker rooms. This resulted in students changing in the hallway, which no one seems to mind since they've known each other for ages. Besides that, it's your typical school.

[ ]The Bank
The Bank was once the headquarters of Van Alen investment and brokerage house. It is an imposing, squat presence, a paradigm of the beaux-arts style, with a classice six-column facade and an intimidating fow of razor-sharp serrations on the pediment's surface. It was empty and abondoned for many years before becoming a night club. It stands on the corner of Houston and Essex. There is a lounge on the top floor. The windows look out on the view of Avenue A.

[ ]Block 122
Located right next door to The Bank. It's an exclusive night club for the city's most beautiful, envied, notorious, and all-powerful citizens. Following in the hallowed tradition of mid-'70s Studio 54, late-'80s Palladium, and early-'90s Moomba, Block 122 was a defining iconic realm. It had astronomical membership dues. The most sought-after table was always filled with underage models, movies stars, and children of the rich and famous. There is a secret back room known as "the Land of Nod". It's where they hid the druggies who had passed out. It has been described as a closet.

[ ]Headquarters of the American Society
The historical Headquarters on the American Society is a grand red brick mansion on Park Avenue and Sixty-eight Street. The society was an organization dedicated to keeping an archive or early American history. The second floor housed a wood-paneled library with a barrel-vaulted ceiling as well as several cosy, clubby rooms ideal for dinner and dancing. It is a popular event space and open at all times unless a reservation is placed.

[ ]Repository of History
This place is underneath The Bank, past the basement to a blank wall. If you say the correct words, a door will appear and you have to go down many, many stairs. Another door, is at the bottom. You have to have the key to get in. It is a library. There are bookshelves that reached 75 feet to the ceiling and a maze of ladders and bridges that connected the towering stacks. The Repository holds approximately ten million books. It was the largest library in the world and only the Blue Bloods and a few conduits are allowed here. It's also the Headquarters. There is a boardroom behind the stacks. The Conclave of Elders- the Wardens- meet there.

Housing
[ ]The Force Town House
The Forces live in one of the most sought-after addresses in the city, a luxurious, well-appointed townhouse that covered an entire block across from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. There is a great marble hallway at the entrance with a huge open staircase that slopes gently upward. This place is gorgeous and is lavishly decorated with the finest décor. There are many bedrooms, and each has their own bathroom. They also have two kitchens, why you need more than one is beyond me, and two libraries. The townhouse is so huge you could get lost in it.

[ ]The Van Alen Mansion
One of the Van Alen’s last remaining holdings is the imposing French-style palace on the corner of the leafy 101st and Riverside Drive that Schuyler called home. Made of beautiful gray stone, it has a creaky wrought-iron double door and gargoyles standing guard at the balcony level. The great hall is dark and musty with Persian rugs. There is never any light in the room because, even though there are several large bay windows that overlook the Hudson, heavy velvet curtains always cover the views. Every piece of furniture in the Van Alen home is original and handed down from earlier generations. There are seven bedrooms, but most are locked and unused, and draped fabric covers most of the heirloom pieces.

[ ]The Llewellyn Apartment
It’s called “Penthouse de Reves”, which means Penthouse of Dreams. It is located on East Seventy-Seventh Street. Located in a palatial apartment building called The Anthetum- one of the oldest, most prestigious addresses in the city. A triplex penthouse on the top floor- the 30th floor, if you don't want to run up 30 flights of stairs, I advice you use the elevator, it is decorated by several different interior designers. Each room is decorated in a "flamboyant, peacock fashion".

[ ]Other Housings
Everyone needs a place to live in. The city is full of apartment buildings, extravagant mansions, large townhouses, small houses, and cozy neighborhoods. None are going to be able to compare to the Force’s Townhouse in size, nor the elegance of the Van Alen Mansion, but there are still some very beautiful places for both the rich and poor.
